Our Client

Our client is one of the world's largest and most specialized construction groups that are now making great strides into the Australian infrastructure market. With further expansion in the region, they are continuing to invest in their core contract and claims management function. They are seeking a Senior Level Claims Manager to work on a significant and recently awarded transport infrastructure project in Sydney. The role will involve working closely with the executive management on how they strategically take the project forward and how best to create a successful claims management structure.

As a company with a reputation for having some of the sharpest contract management minds in their space, they are seeking key experts who have worked in client-facing roles and have been exposed and involved in claims and disputes. With an annual turnover of over €14 billion EUR and over 70,000 employees, they are renowned for their involvement and leading on some of the world's most iconic civil infrastructure projects.

 

Your Role

The Claims Manager is responsible for preparing, drafting, and overseeing claims. This role involves collaborating with production teams, analysing and structuring claim-related information, and ensuring effective coordination with various stakeholders. You will have worked in the international construction environment.

As an experienced Claims Manager you will ideally be a degree-qualified quantity surveyor, engineer or construction professional. Therefore, you will be familiar with complex contractual claims challenges on billion dollar+ projects and have strong writing and communication skills. Key duties include contracts and claim preparation/defence and dispute avoidance as well as advising and supporting on alternative dispute resolution (mediation, adjudication and dispute boards) and arbitration and litigation support.

Project experience should include civil infrastructure including rail, metro, tunnel, highway and build.

The opportunity requires long-term commitment as the company expands and re-enforces it's contract and claims function within the Australian market.
