Job description

Senior Appointment - Construction Law Specialist

Overview

Our client is one of Denmark's largest and most specialized construction law firms that are now making great strides into the international market. With expansion into the renewables sector, they are continuing to invest in their core construction expertise and are seeking a senior person to work closely with the management on how they strategically take the firm forward.

With a reputation for having some of the sharpest minds in their space, they have built an increasingly visible culture that places their colleagues and their focus before anything else. They look beyond their customer's legal problems, encourage their colleagues to think outside of the box with their solutions, and have autonomy in their role. It's part of the reason why they have grown more than 5 times in the past 5 years.

Your Role

As the business continues to expand across both the Capital Region and Jutland, they are now looking to appoint an expert within the construction law area of the company to help spearhead its progression. With growth development possible across both domestic and international clients, it is important you have operated across one or more of these areas.

As an experienced Lawyer with a solid background in construction law, you will be working within complex and challenging markets and areas. You might have knowledge of procurement, but in particular, you will be experienced in preparing, handling, and managing complex contracts. Furthermore, you will deal with dispute resolution. Importantly, you will rise above the legal challenges customers encounter and work more so with them as a strategic advisor.

Unlike a more traditional or conservative law firm, our client prefers to first understand your experience and motivations before building a role and tailored career plan collaboratively with you. That way encouraging ownership and accountability.

You

Whether you are based in Copenhagen, Aarhus, or another location, with our client, you are not tied to one physical location. Your knowledge of construction will not be limited by geography. With entirely flexible working solutions to remote working, your career and aspirations will never be compromised. Importantly, you will share many of the same values:

  • Driven to bring value and add value to the construction and renewable energy industry.

  • Passionate about providing strategic advice beyond the legal problem in front of you.

  • You are curious and enjoy following plans from ideas through to finish.

  • Thrives in a progressive and modern environment where a company dares to be different.

  • Master English in writing and high-level speech.
