Overview

Our client is a leading global construction group currently sitting in the top 20 worldwide for civil and infrastructure works. Within their Overseas Contract & Legal Department, they are looking to make a key appointment for someone who will be based in Muscat, Oman and who will be responsible for facing and dealing with contract and claims management on a complex civil infrastructure project.

With an annual turnover of EUR 17 billion and over 80,000 employees worldwide, they are renowned for their involvement and leading on some of the world's most iconic civil infrastructure projects. They are well established in the Middle East, having an office in Muscat and another one in Abu Dhabi.

You

Ideally, you will have worked in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East within the international construction environment on If not, it is a must that you have worked on large overseas civil infrastructure projects including but not limited to tunnels, water, highway, rail, stations, and especially roads. Previous experience in dispute resolution is also preferred. You are comfortable on working on -site in remote location.

As an experienced contract and claims manager you will be fluent in English, and a degree-qualified quantity surveyor, engineer, or construction professional.

You will know about employer and/or subcontractor management, contract negotiation and drafting, claims and variation orders, and dispute resolution. Furthermore, you have a stable work history and will be seeking a permanent appointment with the business.
