Overview
Our client is a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering complex technical and infrastructure projects across Europe. As part of their continued project delivery, they are seeking a Contract Manager to support a major pharmaceutical project in Denmark.
This role will play a key part in managing contractual and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, supporting claims and variation management, and assisting project teams in managing contractual risk throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description
The Contract Manager will be responsible for supporting contract management and administration activities across the project, ensuring that contractual obligations are understood, risks are managed, and contractual processes are followed effectively.
The role will involve reviewing contracts, managing contractual correspondence, supporting claims and change management processes, and providing contractual guidance to project teams.
The Contract Manager will work closely with project management, commercial, procurement, and legal teams to support the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyse, and interpret construction and engineering contracts, identifying contractual risks and obligations
- Support contract administration activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Draft and review contractual correspondence, notices, and formal communications
- Support the management of variations, change orders, and contractual claims
- Assist with extension of time claims and additional cost claims where applicable
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and internal governance procedures
- Identify contractual risks and support mitigation strategies
- Collaborate closely with project, commercial, procurement, and legal teams
- Support subcontract contract administration and contractual compliance
- Maintain accurate and organised contract documentation and records
- Assist in dispute avoidance and resolution processes where required
- Participate in project meetings and provide contractual input and guidance
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5–10+ years of experience in contract management within construction, engineering, or industrial projects
- Experience working on pharmaceutical, life sciences, or highly regulated industrial projects is highly desirable
- Experience working for contractors on complex technical projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering contracts
- Experience supporting claims, variations, and contract administration processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Ability to work within a site-based project environment
