Job description
Overview
Our client is a major European construction group with a significant and growing presence across the Nordic region. Operating in more than 25 countries with a workforce exceeding 20,000, the group is recognized for delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects globally.
As part of their continued growth in Northern Europe, they are seeking to appoint a Regional Contract Management Coordinator to support their expanding project portfolio across Sweden and Norway. Based in Stockholm and reporting to the Northern Europe Director, this key leadership role will ensure the implementation of the company’s Contract Management strategy across multiple projects in the region.
You will play a key part in shaping contract oversight, guiding project teams, and supporting strategic engagement with clients, legal advisors, and joint venture partners.
You
You will have a background in civil engineering, industrial engineering, or architecture, with at least 10 years of experience in contractual management across large-scale infrastructure or construction projects. You’re confident working in both local and international environments, able to manage multiple contracts, lead teams, and protect the company’s commercial interests.
Experience with Scandinavian standard forms such as AB04, ABT06, and NS8407:201 is essential. You’ll bring strong technical insight, hands-on experience with claims and change management, and be comfortable advising project teams and executive leadership alike.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on contract professional who thrives in complex environments, and who wants to take the next step in a regional leadership role.
Main responsibilities:
- Drive the implementation of the company’s Contract Management Standard across all Nordic projects.
- Support and supervise Senior Contract Managers and Contract Engineers across project sites.
- Lead the preparation and validation of change orders and claims.
- Guide project leadership on contractual strategy and compliance from tender through execution.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams in cases of arbitration or litigation, providing technical and contractual input.
- Engage directly with delay experts and external consultants.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- Languages: Fluent English (C1). Swedish or Norwegian (C2) is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 10+ years in contract and claims management for infrastructure or civil projects.
- Contract Types: Strong knowledge of Scandinavian contracts (AB04, ABT06, NS8407).
- You must have the right to work in the EU/EEA. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants who require visa sponsorship or do not currently hold the necessary work rights.
