Our client is one of the world's largest and most specialized construction groups that are one of the fastest-growing companies in the global infrastructure market. With an annual turnover of €14bn EUR and further expansion planned, they are continuing to invest in the bid and pre-contract analysis function within the contract management department. With over 100 years of engineering excellence and 80,000 employees worldwide, they are renowned for their involvement and leading on some of the world's most iconic civil infrastructure projects, predominantly across the transport and water segments.

Your Role

The Claims Manager is responsible for preparing, drafting, and overseeing claims. This role involves collaborating with production teams, analysing and structuring claim-related information, and ensuring effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders.

As the business continues to expand, they are now looking to make a key claims management appointment in Modane, France. Ideally, you will have worked in an international construction environment. If not, it is a must that you have worked on large civil infrastructure projects and/or contracts.

As an experienced Claims Manager, fluent in English and French, you will ideally be a degree-qualified quantity surveyor, engineering or construction professional. Therefore, you will be familiar with complex contractual claims challenges on international projects and strong writing and communication skills. It is important that you have previous experience with French Public Procurement and underground construction projects. Key duties include detailed analysis and evaluation of unresolved claims, collecting relevant facts and records, and providing fact-based assessments. The role involves preparing, advising, and informing on claims settlement strategies, defences, and counterclaims.

The opportunity requires long-term commitment as the company expands and re-enforces it's pre-contract function and therefore it's risk mitigation profile for many years to come.
