Job description
Senior Attorney – Construction Law & Public Procurement
About Our Client
As one of Denmark’s leading full-service law firms, our client is home to some of the Industry's top Lawyers. Working with both public and private clients including insurance companies, equity funds and banks, they have seen a sharp increase in demand for their services.
Within their Construction practice area, they work with public sector clients through to developers and contractors. Acting as an advisor, they provide fully integrated solutions, ensuring a smooth process from contract drafting through dispute resolution.
The Role
Due to an increase in workload, our client is seeking an experienced Lawyer who wants to grow both professionally and personally. You will be joining one of the market's leading Construction Law practice areas.
The firm is involved in some of the market's most complex cases working closely with large clients. Advising on major social housing programs and multi-billion euro construction projects are all part of the day-to-day work.
You will join a firm where you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the sharpest legal minds in Denmark. Whether you are looking to take yourself out of your comfort-zone within your specialism or you are seeking to progress to Partner, our client is able to offer programs and platforms to support you in your journey.
Responsibilities
The primary areas of focus and experience will include but not be limited to:
- Construction law
- Drafting and negotiation of construction contracts
- Framework, joint venture and development agreements
- Domestic and ideally international forms of contract
- Tendering process
- Public procurement
- Public-private partnerships (PPP)
- Social housing
- Dispute resolution
- Mediation, litigation and arbitration
- Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders
- Working alongside and reporting in to the Senior Partner
- Management, mentoring and coaching of junior lawyers
Background & Qualifications
You will hold a relevant Legal Degree, and will have over 5 years of experience within the legal sector. Corporate or In-house Lawyers will be considered so long as they have previously worked within a law firm.
You will be a specialist in construction law, procurement law and social housing.
You will be goal-orientated, a self-starter and enjoy challenging yourself outside of your comfort-zone. Effective communication, collaboration and being able to coach and mentor junior attorneys is integral to the role.
You do not need to have operated at Senior-Attorney level although this would be beneficial.
Our client is hiring the brightest and most capable talent in the market and their vision is to provide a platform for those people to achieve success in a top-tier law firm in not just Denmark, but Europe.
