Contract Manager

Overview

Our client is an international construction group specialized in water, wastewater treatment, waste collection and recycling, to help people constantly improve their quality of life by protecting their health and supporting economic growth. They have a global presence, with over 40,000 employees worldwide

Your Role

As the business continues to expand, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to support them in a water treatment project based in Angola.

You will be site-based and head up the Contract Management function. Ideally, you will have worked in Africa or in the international construction environment. It is necessary that you have worked on large civil infrastructure projects including water treatment projects.

You

As an experienced Contract Manager, fluent in English and Portuguese, you will be a degree-qualified quantity surveyor or engineer. The role would not suit someone from purely a legal or economic background. You will know about employer and subcontractor management, have knowledge of FIDIC contract, contract negotiation and drafting, claims and variation orders, and dispute resolution. Furthermore, it is essential that you have experience writing claims letters and drafting contract narratives. Finally, you will have a stable work history and will be seeking a permanent appointment with the business.
